Hittites were Anatolian people. They lived in Hittusa during about 1285 BCE. Hittites spoke a non-Indo-European language. Their language was. called Hattic

Hittites gave their king power over all of the land under his control. Individuals were allowed to own their own land if they served in the King's army. Many Hittites became tenant farmers because of this. Before the law changed, everyone owned their own land, including the King. The law became more humane, substituting penalty for punishment. RB
