Polytheism is the belief in or worship of more than one god. "Polytheistic religion is a belief in a plurality of gods in which each deity is distinguished by distinctive functions. (ask.com)" are many polytheistic religions such as hinduism and Buddhism. They belive that there are many kinds of gods like powerful gods, house gods, ect,.
"The Sumerian were polytheistic. Their gods controlled natural forces and were associated with astronomical bodies, such as the sun.
