Factors that Regulate the Climate
Lagos is just North of the Equator. It is 124 feet above sea level. It has a very humid, tropical climate all year around making this island a great place for luscious vegetation to thrive, mostly due to its location in the center of the Gulf of Guinea. Prevailing winds, which come from the south western currents (Atlantic Ocean), are also a result of Lagos' aquatic location.
Weather
Lagos is in a predominately low pressure zone, due to its warm, humid climate all year around. This city also lies within the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ), but isn't affected by either the South and Northeasterly trade winds. Lagos has a climate similar to Jakarta, Indonesia.[5]
