Factors of climate Miami is climatically related to Honolulu, Hawaii because they are both in the wet and dry tropical zone. Another similarity is that they are both coastal, next to large bodies of water.

Tectonic Plate Boundary Near Miami

Miami is on the North American Plate about 1000km from a plate boundary.

Rock Under Miami

The Rocks Under Miami or R.U.M., are sedimentary. If you drill down under the city of Houston and around you will find layers of clay, silt, sand. You can also find many conglomerates in Miami. (As seen below.)
