Return to History 8 Human Origins Vocabulary
During the last ice age, sea levels fell significantly and new land was exposed. Beringia, or the Bering Land Bridge connected SIberia and Alaska together during this time (about 12,000 years ago). The landmass in now under the Bering and Chukchi seas.
