According to Merriam-Webster, ideology is the set of ideas and beliefs of a group or political party, however anthropologists simply refer to it as the body of ideas that people share. A group's geographic imagination, or their particular view or interpretation of the world, which unites the way they behave, act, and respond to the world is part of their ideology. Ideology can be broken down into at least three different categories - beliefs, values, and ideals.
