The Trans-Jordan area, located just west of the Jordan River Valley, sits at about 1500 feet above sea level. The Trans-Jordan area has many rivers that allow fruitful agriculture. The Transjordan area has two different climates: one is basically a Mediterranean climate, Hot and dry in the summer and cool and wet in the winter and the other is very desert-like.
