25. Find another example of the role of pharaoh.

One of the main roles of the Egyptian pharaoh that is presented in chapter 16 is that of the living God. "'Reshep imagined that he was this favored one simply because that is what he wished to believe'... 'the only chosen one of the gods in Egypt is pharaoh, may he have life, health, and prosperity'" (Eater of Souls 258). In ancient Egypt, it was believed that the pharaoh was a god living on Earth and that was what he used as his legitimation of authority.
