Ravana, a mighty king with ten heads, was devoted to Shiva. Shiva guaranteed that Ravana could not be killed by anyone except the lord Shiva. Ravana had many great characteristics that made him powerful. He was brave, smart, courageous, and an expert with many different weapons. He also had supernatural powers. He was able to fly, become invisible, and throw rain, fire, and a thousand arrows. His downfall was his many weaknesses, including selfishness, pride, anger, hatred, and jealousy.
