Question #19 - Interaction With Environment

Li's tribe has learned many ways to interact with their environment. One way they have learned is that they are able to catch fish in the shallows. Li has shown her tribe how the dolphins lead the fish to the shallows which make the fish easier to catch. She has shown them how to recognize dolphins. The tribe even has a new call to signal dolphins. This has to do with both social environment and physical environment. Li's tribe has steadily formed a friendship with the dolphins, and a consumer-resource interaction with the fish they bring in. Li has shown her tribe how to use their surroundings and fellow living creatures to benefit themselves. This use of her environment shows a higher level of cognition in Li's brain. The fact that she is able to see interactions between multiple species, and understand how these interactions benefit her, shows that Li is more advanced than some of the others in her tribe. Li's use of her environment shows she is smarter, and enables her to continue to be important in her community.
