Line 1: Line 1:
Sargon was an ancient Mesopotamian king who ruled from about 2334-2279 BC. He was among the earliest of the world's empire builders. His legacy is remembered through many cuneiform documentaries of his actions. It is said that he was cast into a river as a child and was found and raised by a gardener. His mother is claimed to have been a priestess. To forge his empire he conquered many city states and banded them together into one large and powerful nation. This is said to have been the first empire in human history.
