Hammurabi, an old Babylonian monarch, was the sixth king of Amorite and the First Dynasty of Babylon. He assumed the throne after his father, Sin-Muballit, and he ruled from 1792-1750 B.C. He is most remembered for writing one of the most renowned legal text in history named "Code of Hammurabi." This code was a collection of over 250 laws and standards. These laws included set fines and punishments to reach justice. He also expanded Babylon following the Euphrates to unite all of Mesopotamia. He would eventually expand and conquer all of Ancient Mesopotamia.
