In 1957 a skeleton of a 40 year old neanderthal was un earthed. This was surprising because 40 is 5 years over the average age of a neanderthal. Also he suffered from a withered right arm, a smashed eye socket, arthritis, and injuries to his legs. This displays their capability to care for an injured person and divide up labor among a group. Furthermore they were nomads that moved from place to place sometimes coming back to older places. This was discovered because there were sites with artifacts at different levels. Finally they were hunters and their prey were normaly medium to big animals. They killed these animals by driving them into places where they could be easily attacked like a ridge or swamp. Then they would throw from short distances or thrust their spears into their prey until it died.
