Khufu, the builder of "The Great Pyramid" in Giza, was the second king of the fourth dynasty in Egypt. He was believed to have reigned for 23 years, according to the Turin Papyrus. The pyramid took approximately 23 years to complete. Many believe that the pyramid was constructed to show off his kingdom's success and wealth. The monument also stands to show what a great leader Khufu was. There is also some evidence supporting the fact that Khufu expanded Egypt into Sinai and Nubia. He also increased the wealth of Egypt by mining precious minerals. Although he was a successful leader, he had a not so good reputation for being a nicec guy. It is amazing how he was able to command enough people for the construction of one of the Seven Wonders of the World. He had a very powerful family, including his son Khafre, and his father, Sneferu. Other from his main role in the construction of the main pyramid of Giza, Khufu was a strong yet successful leader through his reign in the fourth dynasty.
