| − | The Younger Dryas changed Natufian life forever. The Natufians were forced to move from their home bases because of the drastic climate change. Many Natufian groups began to split up into smaller groups of three to four people and looking for new land. After the glaciers from The Younger Dryas melted away it left fertile soil for the Natufians. The Natufians settled near the soil and had an idea that would change humanity forever. Sources say it was the women that had the ideas to start farming. Since they could not go back to the same wheat and barley fields each year they started to experiment with planting their little remaining grains. The risk of losing their food supply paid off and now the Natufians had fields of food and were farming. The idea of farming is revolutionary and all occurred because of the Younger Dryas.
