==Definitions==

Language is a systematic way to associate certain sounds or symbols with certain things. (Symols are technically writing). Art is a form of symbolic communication, that uses pictures to represent something. Language is an integral part in society, and in fact part of evolution becauyse research has shown that infants have a basic set of grammar encoded into their minds. Perhaps language is most important because it provides a way to store, process, and communicate information. http://www.language-exchanges.org/sites/default/files/LanguagePartners5.png<ref>http://www.language-exchanges.org/</ref>

==Purpose==

People utilize language and art to create, utilize and explain new ideas and innovations. They can be used to spread beliefs throughout society quickly by word of mouth or drawings. Therefore, it can be said that they are part of enculturation, or cultural transmission, by helping society's or people spread their beliefs to others. http://fc09.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2010/138/1/3/Innovation_Poster__AmericanEx__by_freakyframes.jpg<ref>http://www.multyshades.com/2013/01/30-captivating-poster-designs-to-enhance-your-skills/</ref>

As seen above, art and language can limit our ideas or influence them. (an example of limiting is when the language or society has no words for certain things. Therefore, the society often refuses to accept them.)
