Homo sapiens sapiens have a lighter build and larger brains compared to earlier humans. Modern humans have brains that are about 1300 cc but change between males and females. Our species is taller, thinner, and has darker eyes to cope better with heat. Also, Homo sapiens sapiens have a high vaulted cranium and a flat almost vertical forehead to fit our large brain. Modern humans do not have protruding brow bones. In addition, they have pointed chins and tall foreheads compared to Neanderthals.

Homo sapiens which means wise man in latin formed many new adaptions and characteristics to be able to survive in there climates. The Homo Sapiens first began to evolve during the ice age (Walking With Cavemen). Early Homo Sapiens had many special characteristics such as thinner and taller bodies, thinner bones, and longer limbs to keep cool in hot climates. They had relatively flat faces due to shorter jaw bones. They had darker skin to protect against the sun. Homo sapiens had smaller skulls that were rounded in the back instead of the big neanderthal skulls, they also had large brains, the average size was 1300 cc (37).
