21. Menkarua
Menkaure, the last builder of the great pyramids, was a pharaoh that reigned in Gaza near 2490 BC. He was the son of Khafre and the sixth ruler of the fourth dynasty and built the last three pyramids, which were considerably smaller from the previous pyramids. There must have been a support system in Gaza during the reigns of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure This support system consisted of facilities for food, building materials, and ceramics, and provided for the pyramid workers. Menkaure died a sudden death, so his pyramid complex was abandoned for his son, Shepseskaf, to complete.
