The Assyrians were mainly known for their incredible war tactics as well as the technology that they used in war.  Many of their inventions were born from ideas to build the Assyrian army into a more efficient war machine.  One of the most notable aspects of the Assyrians is their use of horses.  An important technological innovation at this time was in fact the use of stirrups to hold the horsemen on.  The Assyrians are also known for other technological inventions that we take for granted today.  Things like iron swords, lances, metal armor, and they even invented the battering ram.  Although less as known, the Assyrians also made important discoveries in the math and science field as well.  They discovered that a circle is 360 degrees, and along with this they developed the longitude and latitude coordinate system, something we use to this day while making our maps in History class.  One of the biggest ideas the Assyrians developed spread across the globe to even Greece, and it was the technology of an efficient medical science.  Although this is not really technology, they must have come up with unique tools and resources in order to conduct their medical practices.
