Long Answer: Aurignacians, the first modern humans to reach Europe from Africa, began a new step in the past of humans, and became one of the first sub-groups of H. Sapiens. Their first revolution was technology, where they refined blade making and advanced already created tools to a new level. They became the first species to create a tool in order to make a tool, which highlights that their technological advancements were plentiful, and their new set of technology was very intricate and well designed. Blades are long narrow pieces of stone with razor sharp edges, and burins are tiny points that were used for engraving antler and bones. Aurignacians are known for the creation of many tools, most importantly blades, micro-flints, burnishers, and burins. Since they produced these complex tools (specifically blades and burins) their society became known as the blade and burin society.
