Return to History 8 Human Origins Concepts
Homo Sapiens have a relatively large brains. This allows them to come up with strategies to make their kills easier. (Manual 32) In addition to strategy, Homo Sapiens were also able to make their weapons to be able to kill from father away. This made it much easier to obtain their food because it was less of a threat to their survival. These weapons were often times longer, almost resembling spears.
In order to catch their food, the Homo Sapiens often moved along with the heard of animals they were hunting. This lead them to many different climate areas. For the Homo Sapiens that migrated up north, they used the skins or animals as very warm clothing to survive in the harsh environments. trapping hares and foxes were a main source of their clothing in the slightly warmer areas, however.
Not sure which picture but the one of a clothed figure on this site is a Neanderthal, not a Homo spaiens RB
Their greatest advance was the ability to make traps to catch animals and fish, a large part of their diet. They also used darts to kill birds and small mammals.
