The Magdalenians were the smartest and most successful of all Advanced Hunting cultures. Their group presided mainly in Western Europe, between the Alps and the Cantabrian mountains of Spain. The Magdalenians were also skillful tool makers and were very inventive. They made a bow and arrow to make it easier to kill their prey at longer distances. The Magdalenians lived in caves (usually in the mouth or on terraces). Archaeologists have found remnants of needles made out of bone, which suggests that the Magdalenians wore stitched clothes. Also, people believe that they liked to dress themselves with many necklaces and bracelets made out of shells, teeth, beads, ivory, mother of pearl, and stone. As for burial, the Magdalenians buried their dead in their cave or hut floors.

They were also great artists and did engravings and reliefs. Also, the Magdalenians made many cave paintings. The painting of pictures on cave walls shows us that the Magdalenians had imagination. They could take what they saw in their minds or in nature and apply it to other things, like paintings.
