32. Moravian

Return to History 8 Culture Origins Vocabulary The Moravion Region, loess lands, were inhabited by the Gravettians, a sophisticated hunter-gatherer culture, who established traditions mainly in central and eastern Europe, where they could hunt mammoths. Current people argue that the Moravian Region is not only an 8,600 foot territory in the Eastern-most part of the Czech Republic but a mecca for architecture. Today, the topography consists mainly of uplands, which are high land especially at some distance from the sea or ground elevated above the lowlands along rivers or between hills. Moravia possesses a vibrant history which began with the Gravettian tribes.
