Return to History 8 Culture Origins Concepts

There are three important principles that follow the definition of culture. Systems of meaning is a set of relationships between one group of variables (such as words or behaviors) and the meanings which are attached to them. Culture is symbolic, language and art, symbolic forms of communication, help to create, explain, and record new ideas. Culture is learned, a human being is not born with the ability to convey ideas through language or art, so the culture must be taught, an example of this is that children go to school to learn how our world, our human world works.
