The new sedentary agricultural lifestyle actually did not require and was not that dependent on new technology.  The same tools that had been used in the past were still the best.  These tools were the sickle, stone ax, hoe, and some of tool to grind grain, mortar and pestel, were the best tools at the time.  Instead of making new tools the early humans started to refine the tools they already had to make them even more effective.
