Gardening leads to communities settling down. Since garden produce was valuable, gardeners had to learn to protect themselves and their produce from thieves. Gardening provided a stable food source which helped with economy, security and government. The Younger Dryas killed most animals that were good for hunting so gardening became the main food source for most tribes.
