History 8 Video Notes Becoming Human
Homo Erectus was able to do many new things due to its bigger body and brains. Its longer arms and legs enabled it to go father distances than any Hominid before it. Some other changes, also came with the bigger body, like sweat glands and a modern nose. The Homo Erectus's bigger brains enabled to have a curiosity for the world around them. This was a driving force for H.Erectus, pushing them to travel as far as Asia. They were also the first Hominids to use sophisticated tools and fire. All of these changes are believed to make life living on ground easier.
