Mythology plays a major role in the morality of a culture. Mythology addresses fundamental and challenging questions that the culture would need to ask. Mainly answering why am I here, where did I come from, and how should I live.

Mythology usually implies a god or goddess of some type that act like the hero in the story it tells. Therefore, the morality of the culture revolves around the myth and how the "hero" lived and accomplished tasks. The History Manual states that the establishment of a widely held moral code is the most important function of myth (Ancient Origins 43). Overall, mythology shows how people live and their rituals in which they complete things and address situations.
