Atman is a Hindu term meaning "the real self, the external life that which underlies the human form". The Atman is a key for the understanding of the belief that we are spiritual beings having a physical experience. This means that our core existence is as a immortal being that hides inside of all people. We are all ignorant to are true selves as our inner being watches us through all of are experiences.

Atman, in Hindu, literally means inner-self. Atman is also the first principle of Hinduism. Atman is thought to be the principle of the mind and the life principle of the universe. Atman refers to the non-material self which never changes. Atman is the individual spirit. While its counterpart, Brahman, is all of the souls. So, one could say that if Brahman is an ocean, Atman is a water molecule. All Atman has Brahman inside it.

Atman, in Hindu, literally means inner-self. Atman is also the first principle of Hinduism. Atman is thought to be the principle of the mind and the life principle of the universe. Atman refers to the non-material self which never changes. Atman is the individual spirit. While its counterpart, Brahman, is all of the souls. So, one could say that if Brahman is an ocean, Atman is a water molecule. All Atman has Brahman inside it.
