Return to History 8 India Vocabulary
Dharma is the order of the universe and how to maintain that order, according to the ancient Indian culture. Dharma could be known as the Law or the Truth. Dharma, universal and eternal, contains different obligatory goals for certain age groups, genders, and social potion, which means that different people have different dharma's to achieve. Doing one's dharma is percieved as being in accordance with their god.
