Hammurabi
Hammurabi was the king of Babylon from 1792-1750 BC. He ruled for 42 years and made a huge impact on not only Babylon, but also the world. He was the earliest-known example of a ruler proclaiming publicly to his people an entire body of laws arranged in orderly groups, so that all men might read and know what was required of them.
