Microliths and Middens
Microliths
A microlith is a stone tool, often geometric in shape and made from flint. Usually a microlith is fashioned and roped or glued to a stick to make a composite tool. Microliths were used primarily by the Knappers. Microliths were used during the late Upper Paleolithic and Mesolithic areas.
Middens
Middens are garbage pits. They are usually found outside of the living area, and all refuse was placed there. The garbage usually contained bones and uneaten seeds and other food. The seeds of the grains, due to the perfect conditions, began to sprout and form experimental gardens and started the age of farming.
