Bit

A bit takes the value of 0 or 1 and is the smallest unit of measurement in the computer. Binary digits/bits are a basic unit of information storage and communication in digital computing and digital information theory. A computer is sometimes classified by the amount of bits or bytes it can hold, usually in megabytes or gigabytes, and in some cases, terabytes.
