Nefertiti could have possibly been a coregent or even pharaoh. Between Akhenaten's rule and Tutankhamen's rule Smenkhare could have ruled, but historians are not certain. Another thought is that Smenkhare is another name for Queen Nefertiti, and that she ruled during tat period of time.Her burial is also uncertain, for her burial equipment may have been used for King Tut's burial.
