It is not certain who her parents were, but one possible theory is that she was the daughter of courtier Aye.She was the wife of Amenhotep IV from 1353 to 1336 B.C., or later called Akhenaten. Nefertiti could have possibly been a coregent or even pharaoh. Between Akhenaten's rule and Tutankhamen's rule Smenkhare could have ruled, but historians are not certain. Another thought is that Smenkhare is another name for Queen Nefertiti, and that she ruled during that period of time. There is no record of her during Akhenaten's 12th year in reign;at this point she may have died. Her time was in turmoil as Akhenaten changed Egypt to worshipping the sun god Aten.If she was in reign after, she could have changed her husband's religious movement, which would continue during King Tut's time. Her burial is also uncertain, for her burial equipment may have been used for King Tut's burial. However, there is a bust as seen in this image of her foun din 1913.

In Eater of the Souls, the mystery of Queen Nerfertiti is unsolved. File:Nefertiti.jpg
