Enkidu spoke these words to Gilgamesh: "Huwawa's mouth is fire; his roar the floodwater; His breath is death. Enlil made gardian of the Cedar Forest, to frighten off the mortal who would venture there."-16
Analysis
This passage justifies the destruction of the environment. It allows the civilization to cut down trees and kill animals because they are "the breath of death." By demonizing nature, the path is open to destroy nature. Unfortunately, nature can strike back. (EX. The he Ghassoulians.)
