Netjerikhet Djoser ,meaning body of gods,or Zoser was a Egyptian pharaoh. He was born in 2667 BC and died in 2648 BC and was the first king of the third dynasty. Zoser was a warrior king and was successful in many battles. He expanded Egypt's economy by mining for Turquoise and other gems. He is the person who invented the first Egyptian pyramid, named The Step Pyramid of King Djoser found in Saqqara. It was designed and build by Imhotep, who is the first architect with his name recorded. The pyramid stood 604 feet tall and was built in 6 steps. Zoser is buried in a burial chamber more than 90 feet below ground level. The pyramid was built out of sun dried stone. Pharaoh Zoses did many great things in his time as pharaoh and made a significant step forward in the culture of the Egyptians.
