Sita is the daughter of Raja Janaka. There is a ceremony held to see who she will marry, where many different men try to lift a large bow. All of the men try to lift it and they cannot, they cannot even lift it together. After all of the other men try, Rama goes and he is able to pick it up. Actually, the strength of Rama when he pulls the bow back snaps the bow in half. Sita is very impressed and marries Rama. She becomes a goddess after marrying Rama also. -Ian Toubin
