Rama is the son of Raja Dasharatha, the oldest of his 4 brothers. Laxana is one of his brother and Sita is his wife. He is a god/immortal. Rama was to become king when his father died, but his stepmother wanted to see her son, Bharata, crowned. She demanded to the king that Rama be vanished and Bharata be crowned (her two wishes that the king promised to grant). Rama is the hero of the epic Ramayana by defeating Ravana and his army of demons.
