Geography is the study of landforms, climate, plants, and animals on the earth. It is also about the people of Earth and their environments. Geography studies how places differ and why certain differences between places and cultures exist. It is called the ‘mother of all sciences’ because it relates to many other topics and types of science.

There are two branches of geography: physical geography and cultural/human geography. Physical geography concerns Earth's landscapes and natural features, such as the water, land, plants and animals. It is related to geology. Cultural geography is the branch that studies cultures and how people change or impact places. Cultural, or human, geography deals with language, religion, food, lifestyle, artifacts, and many other things in the context of an environment.
