The Younger Dryas affected the way early humans lived because the climate limited their resources to what they knew about and what they discovered was good. Once the Younger Dryas ended the temperature began to rise quickly. For the first time in thousands of years food became relatively abundant. Now that large quantities of food could be found in a small area groups started to settle down into the sedentary lifestyle. At the end of the Younger Dryas some animals including goats, sheep, cattle, and pigs had temperaments and dispositions that made them easy to manage close to the villages. It started to rain more often than during the dry, cold Younger Dryas. Making the land more fertile allowing a variety of plants to grow helping the early humans get a healthier diet.
