Born in 46, died in c.119. Plutarch was a biographer and author who lived during the time of the ancient Greeks. His thesis was that the character of great men changes history. This means that all men have a great impact on their worlds whether in a good or bad way. He is implying not not all great men are good men. Hitler was a great man, but he was by no means a good one. The same example applies to Stalin, and even Lord Voldemort. Plutarch wrote many essays about, ethical, political physical and religious literary topics. During his life, he traveled to Greece and Rome, and eventually the emperor Hadrain, made him the governor of Greece. Plutarch also studied mathematics and philosophy in Athens. He strongly influenced the evolution of the essay, historical writing, and the historical biography. Especially in 16th-19th century Europe. Unfortunately, his influence began to decline because of the french revolution.
