Saul became the first king of Israel, anointed by the Judge Samuel. He came from the tribe of Benjamin and after he was anointed he gathered the tribes and began to work on the Philistine issue. Saul proved himself as an excellent military leader. However sometimes King Saul goes into deep depressions and the only thing that can help him is music which a boy name David provides. Saul and his army fight the Philistines. However Saul and his sons die in battle because Saul disobeyed god by not killing an enemy king that god wanted dead. David eventually defeated the Philistines.
