In the manual, there are three principles that follow the given definition of culture. The first points out that if learning is an essential characteristic to culture, then so is teaching. One cannot learn without a teacher who knows. The second principle states that what is learned and taught is not absolute and that culture is always changing. The third principle declares that meaning systems consist of negotiated agreements. This is true because meaning systems involve relationships which are not essential and universal. It is true that different human societies will agree upon different relationships and meanings.
