The Homo Sapiens which is what our species of human is, first evolved about two-hundred thousand years ago, in Africa. Of course this is only a very educated guess but it is the best guess so far and is likely to be extremely close to the actual date. The first fossils of Homo Sapiens were found in 1868 in Les Ezyies which is in southwestern France and not soon after this finding many more fossils were uncovered all over the world making it easy to say when they had first evolved.
