13. Amhose

Ahmose was a powerful king of Egypt that reigned from 1550-1525 BC. His reign began in a difficult time in Egypt, when Egypt was being threatened by other countries and the northern part of Egypt was taken by a foreign country. Ahmose began his rule at a young age after his older brother died, but it wasn't until ten years later that Ahmose really took over and fought off the foreign country in the north as well as Egypt's enemies in the south. The king also expanded the boundaries of Egypt and raised money for his country. Ahmose was very successful in getting Egypt back on its feet and start the new Egyptian empire.
