Ethnocentrism is the way we see the world based on our culture, making us believe that our way of thinking is the only and bast way of interpreting the world. All people, tend to base their interpretaions of facts to support the way they feel about the world around them, this is what determines how the intrepret symbols, events, and artifacts. "It seems natural that people feel pride in the culture in which they have grown up and from which they have adopted their values and standards of behavior."[2] therefore making an impact on geographic information because of the assumptions one might make.
