"Ideals serve as models for what people hope to achieve in life" (Manuel 56). [1] If it were not for ideals in the culture, people would have no way to determine what they want to accomplish in their lifetime. The only way we as people can improve is if we are growing as people. Achieving more in life helps us grow and create new and better communities. It was the people that were curious, inventive, and achieved things during their lifetime that helped everyone move forward and become more advanced.
