14. Thutmose I

Thutmose I was a commoner at birth, but married into the throne. He was the third king of the 18th dynasty in Egypt, and was responsible for many military campaigns as well as conquering the Nubian chief. He built many new buildings and temples that helped the country prosper. Thutmose defeated some of Egypt's enemies such as the Hykos, Syria, and Nubia, where he penetrated the third cataract . He was a very important military commander and his military campaigns were extremely effective.
