The most important aspect of human brain evolution is the imagination. Unlike the H. Heidelbergensis, Ergaster, and Neanderthalensis before them, they possessed the imagination necessary to navigate their environment once it changed. Possessing the ability to adapt to multiple environments at once can be crucial to the survival of any species. Although, in our current society, the human race has been changing their environment to fit their needs, which has been detrimental to the atmosphere. Also, unlike the Homo Heidelbergensis, the Homo Sapiens had the ability to imagine the possibility of an afterlife, so they buried their dead.
